Highlands Ranch students need 20 hours of community service to graduate, and National Honor Society members owe 20 more each year, half of them inside the school. Before Helper Helper, all of it arrived on paper forms that staff collected, reviewed, and filed by hand. "We were using paper forms," says Angie Yearous, the school's NHS sponsor. Arkansas now requires every public high school student in the class of 2027 and beyond to complete 75 hours of community service before graduation.
